Wars, economy, inequality, … There are so many injustices in the world. So many people without access to clear water, to food, to education, to the very basics. That’s not fair. We should be living in a world where people share, where witnesing somebody who suffers should be something unacceptable. In a world where we’re all having access to the basics in order to live humbly as humans.
However the reality nowadays is completely different. We live in a world where money is the ultimate goal for many. Money, money, money… Me, me, and me… I get money it’s important to buy goods that keep us running. But the problem is love towards it. Adoration to money. Money as the ultimate goal for our own selfishness.
I don’t understand why people give so much importance to money. We should be caring about humanity, about those in need, about the truth, about forms and ideas to end hunger and ingorance around the world.
That’s far away from the ideas of comunism, I’m not refering to that, I’m refering to a change of perspective. A change of mindset of those who have more, have to share more… If each rich person in the world gave 10% of their annual earnings towards a single family in a developed country we could end with inequality in the world in less than a year’s time.
Imagine someone in the US making 100.000 Dollars per year. They can cover their needs with half of it, 50. Give away 10 to a family in Nigeria and save 40 for personal use.
Now multiply this formula by 50 milion families that could do something similar, becasue they can.
We could help personally, each of us, end the hunger in the world and help those countries in need.
Why someone would give 10% of their income to a family in Nigeria? And that’s the problem. We don’t see eachother as brothers and sisters… we see eachother as a number. As enemies. As a thread.
Changing our mindset is the first step. Do you want peace in the world? Be at peace yourself. Do you want to end hunger in the world? Feed people yourself.
Be that change that you want to see in the world.
Most people want peace in the world, but they hate their family. Or the husband, or wife… How can you wish for peace in the world if you hate your sister?
We need to start in our own hearts, change our own hearts to be that change that we want to see in the world.
A generous heart is a giving heart.
People will be shocked if you donate thousands to poverty. Family members will be absolutely mad at any generous action you do towards helping the people in need. I can tell you from my own experience.
Try and give 1000 euros to a homless man… Friends and family will tell you are stupid, that you could have put this money in the SP500 and in 20 years you could have tripled your investment or whatever.
It’s sad to see people around you telling you off for being generous, I get it, but in the end we will be judged for how and how much have we loved others.
I think it’s not fair someone in London making six figures, and someone in Nigeria or Kenia making 1000 dollars a year. That is not fair.
Do you want to see a change in the world? Start by changing what you think isn’t fair to what you think it’s fair and just.
Action the change you want to see in the world.
Be that person you think you should be for making this world a more human, peaceful and better place to live in.
Be that example you want to give to your kids and others.
Be perfect, in the sense of Love.
Try to be fair, and to love others the same way Jesus has teached.
That’s the reflection of today.
